Q. How will I know when I'm registered?
A. You will receive an e-mail confirming your successful registration to use the site. If you do not receive the new user email message then return to the site, login, click 'Contact Information' and correct your e-mail address. The 'Contact Information' page is very similar to the registration form. If we are notified by the mail server that an e-mail  cannot be delivered, you will be asked to verify your email address the next time you log on.

Q. How do I get paid?
A. The arrangements for payment are handled between the buyer and the seller. The closing of the deal and the delivery of goods are  up to the buyer and seller.

Q. How will I know when an auction is closed?
A. When the auction is over both the high bidder and the seller will be notified by e-mail and contact information is provided to each.

Q. What if there is no payment method listed?
A. Sellers should specify acceptable methods of payment, terms and shipping costs in the item description when listing the item for auction. If they don't, send them an email or call them on the phone and talk about it. Of course you can negotiate this after the sale if that is your preference.

Q. Can I change my item's info or pricing after the auction has begun?
A. Until the bidding on an item reaches the reserve price you can modify the category, title, description, and picture's URL. You can only modify pricing while the listing is on your 'Pending' page.

Q. The wrong information was listed for my auction item, how do I make changes.
A. If you have not started your auction you may still edit your information by:

1. Clicking on 'Pending listings'
2. Click on the title to display the seller's management page.
4. At bottom of page click on 'Edit...'
5. Change your information and save the changes.

Q. Can I end my auction early?
A. You can 'Reset' your item without a penalty fee if there has been no activity. If purchase orders or bids have been received all buyers are notified that the item has been withdrawn and you will be charged a penalty fee equal to the listing fee and special placement charges for the listing.

Q. What methods can I use to pay for listing my items?
A. Credit / Debit card, Check, or Money Order.

Q. How are bid increments determined?
A. The seller determines the bid increment. A suggestion is 5% to 10% depending on the value of the item. The seller enters the bid increment amount when they create or edit their listing.

Q. What if I can't contact the buyer/seller by e-mail?
A. Because you are both registered users this should not occur. But of course the world isn't perfect and folks can ignore e-mail and telephone calls. Be sure to 'Post Feedback' about the individual to warn other users. If this doesn't work let us know and we will investigate and possibly ban them from the site. Every reasonable precaution is taken but problems do occur.

Q. What if the high bidder backs out?
A. Post Feedback. This will warn other users. If the bidder doesn't have a compelling reason in our opinion then we will investigate and may ban them from using the auction site. We don't want any bad apples in our barrel.

Q. How much does it cost to sell my item?
A. See the 'Services and fees' page.

Q. How do I put a picture in my item description?
A. You can upload your picture directly from your computer to our server after you add your listing or from the 'Sellers Management' page. If your picture is already stored on the Internet you can enter the URL (Uniform Resource Location) of your picture when you create or edit a listing. Type the pictures URL in to the space provided on the form. Web pages cannot be displayed this way. Test the URL in your browsers address window. If your browser can display the picture stored on the web then we can display it for buyers.

Q. How does this reserve price auction work? I don't get it.
A. A 'Reserve Price' is the lowest price the seller will accept for an item. If the reserve price is met the seller is committed to sell the item to the highest bidder that meets or exceeds the reserve price. The reserve price is never disclosed to bidders.  The seller enters their reserve price when he / she lists their item. This allows the seller to place their starting amount below what they will actually take for the item to get the bidding going, and yet gives the assurance of not having to sell at less than what item is worth.

Q. What if the reserve price is not met?
A. The item is considered not sold and no notifications will be made to any bidder. Seller will be notified of close of auction as always. The Seller is under no obligation to sell to the highest bidder unless the reserve price is met or exceeded on 'Reserve Price' listings.

Q. How do I know what my (???) is worth? I inherited it from uncle Fred and I don't want to keep it, but I have no idea what it's worth!
A. There are hundreds if not thousands of books on the subject of collectibles. Many monthly magazines focus on a type of collectible, trading cards for example, and list the current market values. Another way is to call your insurance agent who insures your home. These folks generally have a good current appraisal type book to price valuables for insurance claims, you can contact some of the companies on our 'Links' page.

Q. I forgot my password what do I do now?
A. Send us an e-mail. Be sure to tell us enough about yourself that we can identify you. Name, address, city, state, zip, phone, and e-mail. Also include your user name or password. If we have any doubt as to your identity we will disable the account and have you re-register.

Q. How do I find out how an auction ended?
A. If you are a bidder then go to 'Check your bids'. If you are the seller go to 'Closed listings'.

Q. What if the seller doesn't want to sell anymore?
A. Sellers have the option of withdrawing their item. If they do not withdraw their item then they intend to abide by the terms of the listing. This won't happen often. There are many reasons that a seller may change their mind and some are reasonable. Go to 'Post feedback' to warn other bidders. We may at our discretion ban the seller from the site if they do not have an honest and compelling reason.

Q. Can I reduce or retract my bid once I have entered it?
A. No you cannot withdraw your bid. This is not a game. Bidding, just like offering an item for sale or auction, is a statement of intent. You should never bid unless you intend to buy. In some states it is considered fraud and is punishable by law.

Q. Can I enter a maximum bid and have it go automatic as the auction progresses?
A. No, not now. In the future we may provide this service.

Q. Is there any way to keep track of bids I have made?
A. Yes. Click 'Check your bids'.

Q. You don't have the category that I need for the item I'm listing, what should I do?
A. Go to 'Contact us' and we will be glad to add a new category for you. You can then add your item with the correct category.

Q. What do I do if my item does not show up on the auction?
A. You probably have not started the auction. Many sites automatically start the auctions for you as soon as you add them. Here you have control of when you start the auction. Go to 'Pending listings' and see if the item is still on your 'Pending' list.
